I had a flood due to a washing machine malfunction and I ended up with 9 hours worth of water. I called my insurance company and they suggested that I called their preferred provider, so I did. They came out and just told me not to spend the $500 deductible and just buy a box fine. I said that ain't right, because with 9 hours worth of water the could be mold, and it was 98 degrees out and the house stunk to high heaven.
I called Disaster Cleanup Services and they were out in 2 hours. The popped the floorboards, they popped the baseboards, and they found mold. What I really liked about them was that they were so confident that my insurance would cover the work that they added an addendum to the contract, stating that I would not be liable if my insurance did not cover the work. They were professionals. They knew the deal.
