I found a mini van through auto trader for this dealership. We went there and the salesman told us the price was $6000. I told him I saw it on the Internet to $2990 and he said he would check it out. He came back and said that iot was $3990, I told him again what the internet said and that I got the price from auto traders. I followed him back inside and the his boss agreed with my price.
When we started making the final arrangements my wife wanted to do the sale pending getting it inspected by a mechanic, he started to waffle about this and this should have been my first red flag. He said that that was fine, but we has to do it by Monday evening (this was Saturday evening). My wife asked if we could have until Tuesday or Wednsday and where told no.
On monday we took the vehicle to our mechanic and found out that a couple seals in the engine needed to be replaced, all the fluids needed to be replaced, and one of the back breaks was broken, all totaling $1450.
My wife called the dealership and they said to come back in and they would work someting out, when she came back in they didn't want to do anything for her. After talking to the person that told her they would work something out, they said they would pay $300 of the repair costs.
So basically after having the vehicle for 2 days we are going to have to fork out an extra $1150. Just say no to crooks like this dealership.
