I went to the emergency service when my 13 year old dog started having seizures. I thought I would be putting him to sleep before I went but I wasn't sure. Even though he was 13 and it was after midnight, Dr. Berger did the most thorough exam I've ever seen. He found a tumor that my previous vet missed. I did put my dog to sleep as I had feared, but I did with all my questions answered and my dog and I can be at peace with what happened. Dr. Berger tried to cover for my regular veterinarian and that is the only part I was uncomfortable with. The difference between the care was hugely obvious with previously missed cataracts, heart murmur, and my old vet never did a rectal exam or checked blood pressure. Go to BEBT. If there are answers and explanations they will find them.
