It's true, the service can be mixed and it does get very crowded. Try to go a little later than peak time and it's easier to get seated.
I've loved every type of pancake I tried there (and there have been many over the years), as well as the corn bread French toast and (my absolute favorite) the homemade polenta with tofu, guacamole and fresh salsa. I ordered a fruit cup with it but was way too full to eat much of the fruit.
Coffee is pretty weak, but there is fresh-squeezed orange juice which is pricey but delish. Overall the menu is fairly priced and the portions are generous.
