First Dentist I've Actually Liked 9/15/2011

From the moment I walked in, I knew this place was different. Starting with the appearance of the lobby and waiting area, you could tell it wasn't a space that was ignored or begrudgingly attended to. Very clean, comfortable and tidy. Not a giant messy pile of periodicals to sort through, just a few interesting coffee table books and a neatly fanned pile of ""Houston"" magazine. I truly felt familiar with the staff there, even though I was meeting them for the first time. Before I go on, let me copy my unedited response to Dentiq, sent after filling out a feedback form following my visit (I didn't write it with the thought of publishing it): ""Three things that have made a stunning impact on me: 1. Low wait time (very important) 2. Not feeling that the doctor or any other staff are rushed. 3. I already have several examples of staff going the extra mile. Like, getting an email reply on the same day---a Saturday no less. Calling in a prescription without me having to provide the phone number. The girls took the time to look it up based on the street. OK, more: 4. Genuinely friendly. 5. Cleanliness (a biggie). When you're sitting in that chair, you get a chance to look around a lot...and notice cleanliness. 6. Technology. Not afraid to spend on the good stuff. All of these may seem normal to you guys but for me, they are all out of the ordinary. Pretty sad huh? Don't change the way you do things."" I'll add a few: -Easy access -Easy parking -Refreshments offered and available any time -Thorough an ongoing explanation of what they are doing to your mouth at all times -Questions completely and patiently answered I would include a ""cons"" section but I have yet to encounter any. Their prices were pretty much in line with everyone else for elective, full price procedures. Have yet to use them as my regular dentist because I have to wait until the end of the year to switch to a DPPO. I currently have a DMO which they do not accept (no DMO's at all from what I was told). So check with them for insured procedures first. As soon as I switch my coverage, I will be going there on a regular basis. I never really felt that my dentist office 'had my back' until now. Thanks to all the staff I have come across so far---the front office, assistants, techs and of course, doctor Sista. I have no doubt that the rest of the staff who I haven't met yet are equally as great. Highly recommend. You won't be sorry. more
