Phoned Dr. Susini office this morning to request and appointment for my wife. They asked for information but when it came to her Social Security number, I told her they don't need that information. I explained that with all the computer hacking and identity theft, It is not recommended to give out your SS number. She replied that she couldn't make an appointment without the number because she needs it for the insurance. I've personally been to 6 different doctors in the last two months and none took issue with not supplying my SSA number. I explained to the girl that we have an insurance card and identification but said she can't make the appointment without the number period. I guess the doctor has more patients than he needs and just doesn't need new patients or he doesn't care about the privacy and safety issues of individuals. He needs to have his office people move into the current world and respect who are trying to protect themselves.
