We tried using a Crowd Cut coupon for a Thursday night and our only option was a less expensive room - $99, clearly not the $230 value the coupon indicates. The Crowd Cut clearly indicates ANY room Sun-Thurs. However, upon trying to reserve a Thursday night with our coupon the online reservation system indicated we needed a two night minimum. I then called the B&B and was told that the king rooms aren't available to Crowd Cut customers on Thursdays. The person at the B&B said she'd have the innkeeper call me back, great. The innkeeper, Matthew Gillan, called me back two hours later and was abrupt turning to rude. I put out my case and indicated I thought the Crowd Cut coupon should state that all rooms are only available Sun-Wed and if you want one of the nicer rooms on a Thursday you have to book two nights. He asked why I couldn't just stay two nights (none of his business) but I'm in school and I work. He explained why the two night min on Thursday was in place which I can appreciate but that's not what the coupon says. I told him if that were the case we likely wouldn't have purchased it. He said fine go somewhere else. I told him I didn't understand why he was being so rude and his customer service was lacking. He said he didn't appreciate how I was talking to him and wouldn't make an exception for my request. I will be asking for my money back from Crowd Cut and will take my business elsewhere. The innkeeper is exceptionally rude and puts out false coupons. If we'd known the rules actually mean any room Sun-Wed then at least we would have known Thursday was off the table. I was just shocked at the way Mr. Gillan treated me especially when the reviews indicate Matt is so nice. Got him on a bad day? Too bad, he's lost the business of mine and anyone I know.
