There is no other place in town to be this up front and personal with your favorite Americana, and Neo Folk musicians. This is not necessarily ""Country"" music, although some of the more traditional artists might be described this way. I have seen Paul Thorn more than once, Raul Malo, Marcia Ball, the Tricias, the Robinson brothers, and Asleep at the Wheel several times and many others, as well. If you listen to Outaw Country on XM radio, these are their artists, too, and not all of them are ""country"" either. It would be too simple to label these artists ""country"" as many of them are comfortable in more than one genre of music. This is just the very best in terms of acoustics, seating and fine food. I kind of hope it doesn't catch on too quickly as I am enjoying the feeling of a ""private"" club, and many of the artists I have enjoyed have also commented on feeling like they are in somebody's living room. I have only been to breakfast twice here and it was not bad food, but maybe this is not why you should think of the Dosey Doe. it is most of all a one of a kind place for musicians and their patrons to enjoy each other in the finest of concerts in the Houston area..
