AWFUL!!! DO NOT GIVE THESE THIEVES YOUR BUSINESS!! My husband purchased a $75 baby cockatiel on Sunday 7/31 @ 8PM for my birthday. The bird proceeded to screech part of Monday and all of Tuesday AM so I brought it back to the store on Tuesday afternoon @ 3PM. According to the printed receipt I had, there are no refunds - only store credit with original receipt (no time limit specified). \r
\r
I was informed by an employee @ the cash register of a 24-hour policy on small animals and shown a small sign barely visible behind a pile of dog food near the door (see photo I uploaded) as proof that no refunds or credit would be given. I asked to speak to a manager so she called someone named Matthew, who refused to speak to me and told her to inform me of their 24-hour policy. \r
\r
She told me to come back tomorrow if I wanted to speak with the manager in person; however, I said that I wouldn't put the bird through the whole trauma of being put into a box and driven around Brooklyn again. I asked her to please get the owner or manager on the phone so I could speak to them myself. She called Matthew back and he hung up on her while she was asking him to please speak to me. \r
\r
At this point, to spare the poor bird any further trauma, I left it with the store employee along with a note and my # for Matthew to please call me to resolve the issue of store credit. It has been 3 days and no one has called. \r
\r
This business is deceptive with its return policies (printing one thing on the receipt and another on a small, hidden sign behind a door) and very rude to its customers. If they would've done right by me and issued a store credit, I probably would've spent even more than the original $75. Instead, they lost a customer and earned an enemy. BOTTOM LINE: Give your business/hard-earned $$ to someone else!! \r
