The nurse at his previous practice was very helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. She was the only reason I continued to go to this office (she no longer works with him). Dr. Birkmire, on the other hand, was very arrogant & rude the few times I did see him. He closed his office, relocated and changed phone numbers without notifying his patients (I gather I was not the only one in this situation as I read other reviews online). It was nearly impossible to find another doctor on such short notice to prescribe me the medication that I had been taking for years. It took me months to figure out that he hadn't just disappeared off the face of the earth, but is actually practicing medicine in Oviedo, FL. Also, It has been a less than pleasant experience trying to get my medical records from his office in order to have them sent to my new doctor. What an awful experience!!
