The estimator provided a reasonable estimate. I recommend you stick with a 'not to exceed' deal because the movers will move slow knowing they make more money hourly. They take many smoke brakes and their main foreman spits all over the place and is rude when it comes time to paying up. They smoke near the truck and the smoke can get into your furniture if you don't tell them otherwise. They throw cigarette butts in your lawn. If you can overcome the negatives, they will deliver your furniture without damage, but if they do damage your walls, they will not admit to it, so be prepared with a video camera and ask them for a copy of their insurance cert. I bought insurance from them, which was pricey, but it made them extra careful in not damaging stuff. Without insurance, they probably would not have cared as much. Their crew was not very strong or experienced except two. Overall, I would consider them again with a different foreman and I would put in writing that smoking is prohibited and all breaks will be deducted from the overall time. I've heard some positive remarks on Quality Moving Services and Bekins, but I don't have personal experience with them. The owner of Randalls is a decent guy and they do honor their commitments that are in writing.
