Preston's can be dangerous place for your pet 8/20/2011

On Mon., August 15, I took Alice and Emily, our two female Cavaliers, over to Preston's to be groomed, as we had many times in the past. They were apparently left in the dryer too long, and Emily died. Alice had a nosebleed and barely survived, but is recoveringy. On Wed, Aug. 17, I went over to Preston's to retrieve their leashes and collars and to talk with the owner. He flat-out lied to me about what happened, saying they were being washed when they both "went down." When we saw Alice over at our vet's office less than an hour after it happened, she was dry and her hair was straight, as was Emily's when we saw her body downstairs at the vet's office. It takes five hours or more for a Cavalier's hair to dry if they are not blow-dried, and their hair curls up. Emmy's ashes were returned to us today. We are devastated. She was four years old and a beautiful little girl. This is not the first time Preston's has killed a dog. more
