I organized a boys weekend for my husband and some of his friends over Memorial Day weekend. Due to airline tickets, they had to cut their trip by a night. I called a week before check-in to let them know so, they could clean earlier and I could get an adjustment. I called and left messages, for 3 days with no return call. I finally had to pretend I was looking for a place to rent and I got a call within an hour. I told the representative my story and she said, ""We should be able to do something for you, let me call the owner. I will call you back"". No, return call. Again, called the next two days and left a messages. No return call. Called the next day and left a message stating that I was interested in renting a house. I got a call back that day. I spoke with someone new so, I explained my situation again. To my surprise there was no record of my previous conversation on Tuesday. I was still booked for the original three nights and no notes where referenced on my reservation. At this point it was Friday, and she said, ""That I would be stuck paying the $300 for Sunday night because she would not be able to get it re-rented at this point"". Of course not, it is Friday. I stated that I have been calling for the past week with no call backs and no action taken on my previous conversation. It possibly could have been re-rented and I could have saved a portion of my $300. I did ask her, to have the other person I talk to on Tuesday, to give me a call when she returned after the holiday so, I could try and see where the communication failed. I received no call. It really is too bad because I would have appreciated some explanation and probably would not be writing this review. My husband said the house was nice and clean but, if you like decent customer service, find another rental company. Seaside Vacation Homes has lost my business for yearly girls weekends, yearly boys weekends and summer family vacations. I will be going to Northwind Vacation Rentals!
