Superior Moving? Hardly 6/6/2011

Superior Moving and Storage? Hardly! I think it should change its name to Inferior Moving and Storage. First, one of the movers, the supervisor, dropped an antigue mantle clock on its top, upside down. I remember my parents moving this clock around like it was nitro. It is very fragile. It even has screws in it to help keep it balanced. The guy picked it up, brudhed it with his hand and said, ""see, its fine."" Second, it took over a eek to get a monthly rate. Apparently the person that provides the rates was on vacation. I was finally quoted $159 for a small, maybe 5 by 10 space. When I came to get my things, I was told the rate was $250. I refused. Get this. I moved very few things. I had no sofas, chairs, bedroom furniture. Third, when I started unpacking, I noticed the movers had packed stuff with dirty laundry. I found a piece of crystal in a winter boot. Haven't found the other boot by the way. The storage area was small, not climate controlled. Fourth, there were numerous people there--not working as far as I'm concerned. One person was asleep at his desk. There was one big office. Why I had been put on hold for so long when I had been calling for a rate is beyond me. I was told the person had to go to another office. The place was a warehouse with individual cages for storage. I surmise that if you would be storing an entire house, it would cost a minimum $1000. What a joke! Moving is stressful as it is. You don't need inept people working. No stars. more
