My friend was married at the Lakefront Wedding Chapel in South Lake Tahoe a few weeks back. I was surprised as to how much money she paid and what she actually got for her money. First, the place was filthy, the floor had what appeared to be dried water spots or drink spots tthat had collected dust,, and there were even stains on the linen that they supplied. The changing room was the size of a closet, stuffy, with no window/air. Dirt was on the changing room floor and it got on her dress!!! The Chapel ""helpers"" didn't offer water or anything, so I had to ask for her, and then it appeared she was brought a dirty glass of tap water! (no bottled water!). She ordered a cake and champagne wedding. The guests got one glass of champagne. Nothing for the children. No water was offered. Food was just the 1 piece of cake. The photographer rushed her and her wedding party and family. She was told she had to pay extra to go to the beach for a photo ($250!) but was told basically too bad since there was not enough time and they quickly scooted all of us out after 1 hr. Her time at this place was 20 min seating guests and including the ceremony, then 20 minutes pictures then 20 minutes toast and cake, then we were told we had to leave. My friend, the bride, actually cried when she left. Overpriced, and horrible. I feel very sorry for her and anyone else who gets married and ripped off at this dump.
