Interesting reading these reviews. I cannot speak to all of them but some of them I think I am aware of the situation. For one, mgmt companies offer advice to Board members who try to do their best to keep their investments sound. Board members could do a better job at running things if those who own the property took an interest in their own investment, took self responsiblity for following the rules and paying all their fees on time. There are some people on our property who are thousands of dollars behind; its hard to pay the bills that way. I love my swimming pool and am an avid swimmer, I don't know about you, but if I had a choice of building repairs or keeping the pool open I would rather have my building repaired. Sometimes it needs to be an either or because the money just isn't there. Maybe if all residents/owners paid all their fees in a timely manner property managers could do a better job. Just a thought.\r
And as for putting things in writing, well that is just good business. I work in a field where the motto is ""if it isn't written it didn't happen"". I have learned the he said/she said arena never works - so just put it in writing.
