I've only been going to the Chop Shop in Manayunk since January, as I've been bouncing around from hair salon to hair salon since I moved to Philly a bunch of years ago. I got my hair cut and had partial highlights put in by Ashley, and she completely transformed my hair. I've never gotten so many compliments!
Aside from just being easy to talk to, she seems extremely knowledgable about hairstyles and what would look best on what face. Plus, while some of the other stylists I've seen ask you the same questions about work and your home life, she actually engages you in conversation and seems to care about what you say. The past few times I've gone I've asked for her specifically as I know she'll do a great job and I won't have to sit quietly for an afternoon.
I've never had to wait longer than 15 minutes to see her, but even if I did, she'd be worth it. If you're going, ask for Ashley!
