I contacted Todd B via autotrader this morning asking about a vehicle and a carfax vehicle report...here is a copy of the conversation - \r

Todd B: Hello, How may I help you?\r
You: im looking at the 02 yukon, was wondering if you have the carfax on it so that i can look into it\r
Todd B: We have to many vehicles that come and go on a daily basis to do that. I can tell you all of our vehicles are localy bought. They are all in good condition\r
You: ok. thats nice. can you get a carfax on this particular vehicle? you buy it locally but that dosent mean it didnt come here from somewhere 500 plus miles away. This is an investment for me. If you cant take the time to get a carfax for me, why should I invest 10k of my hard earned monies?\r
Todd B: I do apologize but I do not have the manpower to be able to get you a carfax.\r
You: wow, really? its really that hard to put a vin number into a computer system and get that information. You couold very well do it within the time we have been talking here. or is it the fee that they charge you?\r
You: this conversation will be placed everywhere I see your adds. Its pretty sad that a dealer wanting to offload ""quality"" inventory dosent want to give the investing customer any solid black and white info on a used vehicle. \r
Todd B: They do charge us a fee.\r
You: Duhh...nothings free!! well execpt for problems with a vehicle that arent disclosed at the time of sell. Thats why there is carfax. thanks for letting me know that you cant do something that simple to get a 10k sale.\r
You: were done here!\r
