I also grew up at this church, and everything I've seen on here is true. Stay far away. No church is perfect, but this one is blatantly destructive. As Americans we all assume we can go anywhere we want and are free to leave, if we choose, but if you hold onto that mentality here you won't survive there long. You don't have the freedom to come and go, and if you do leave, and you have family there, they will be forced to choose between you and the church, and because of the effective practice of psychological manipulation and intimidation, many choose the church. You may say, it couldn't be that bad, they'd be in trouble with the law by now. Well, I don't know how they've managed to go this long without getting in trouble, but they have, so stay away!
