SAD!! 6/8/2011

When I first went to Aequis 7 years ago in 2004 at their original location I was blown away. The staff were amazingly sweet, calm, the ambiance was beyong soothing and my massage was the best by far and left me feeling great for over a week (a rare occurance in my case). I work in a customer service position where I come into contact with 100-200 people every day, so I know first hand that not everyone is going to be happy and there are always people who will despise the service they get no matter what. . . BUT I've been to Aequis 2 times in the last couple of years and my massage ended 15 minutes early each time. A male friend of mine wanted to try it last Summer and was not pleased at all and while the space was very nice and set up to seem "luxurius", the massage was not worth the expensive price at all, and I agree. A friend of mine used to work as a front desk staff there and after she quit, complained to me that just like the other posts state, she was never paid on time and was given excuses for missing wages. She had to file complaints with BOLI. I'm really disappointed, but alas! My new favorite is Dragon Tree Spa on NW Thurman!! I have been there 3 times now and love it!! more
