I was an adolescent (17 year old) patient in Harbor Oaks during October of 2008. During my stay there I met with the psychiatrist, Dr. Curtis Longs, a grand total of two times. The first was to throw me into a quick Bipolar diagnosis (which had been the current 'it' disorder, made evident by the fact that nearly everyone there was given the same diagnosis) and to prescribe an anti-psychotic and an anti-depressant as treatment. The second time was to ensure that they could get me out the door without suffering any liabilities.\r We ventured outside into the small, barbwire fenced area for fresh air twice in my entire stay as well. The place was like a prison.\r \r The general staff patients see everyday were alright. These were medical assistants and whatever the modern day term for 'orderly' is. They seemed to take genuine interest in their patients.
