I brought my car to FAST because the fix engine light was lit. My regular mechanics had replaced the spark plugs a couple of weeks before, which had not solved the problem. I told Jim of FAST that I had already had the spark plugs replaced (a half hour job at the most). Even though I had made a definite appointment for 10:00 on a Saturday and told him I would have to wait for the car, it was over 5 1/2 hours later before my car was ready. And...all he had done was give me yet another set of spark plugs, charging me twice as much as my regular garage ($272 for a half hour job). Of course the fix engine light was still on. When I returned and complained, he was not willing to give me any satisfaction whatsoever. It seems to me this garage is predatory, taking advantage of any one they sense does not know anything about mechanics. There are decent auto repair shops in Santa Fe, like Alex Safety Lanes, who don't have to resort to dishonest tactics. Don't subject yourself to being ripped off.
