My first-hand personal experience is that Dr. Yahav is "the dentist" for dental needs and wants, ranging from the small and routine to the large and complicated. He has proven to be a superb dentist for my dental needs and wants; as well as apparently a superb dentist for many others who I have observed first-hand at his office and with others that I have spoken to.
"He knows his stuff," so-to-speak, as a professional with strong technical skills and artistic-esthetic sensitivities concerning "function" (so that our teeth perform proper pain-free chewing needs that all us dental patients require) and "form" (so that our teeth also look proper and, ideally, with the looks or appearance that many of us dental patients want). At the same time, I believe that us patients must be realistic about what is possible given our individual dental history, mouth-teeth structure, age, and other pertinent factors. In all these many complex often interrelated regards, I have found Dr. Yahav willing, able, and competent, to deal superbly with the many dimensions of proper dental treatment and care as requested and appropriate for each individual patient, which includes tailoring the treatment plan to the individual patient as he has done in my case.
More personal for me, there are many things in life that I hate and many of the actual dental procedures necessary for dental care ranging from important dental flossing at home to procedures sometimes necessary is a dentist's chair. However, most all of us find ourselves in these situations at one time or another. About two years ago I decided to have substantial dental work performed that on the surface would ultimately have the appearance of teeth sort-of like we see in "movie-star" magazine photos. But, below that surface look is the necessity for serious dental technical skills to deal with my less-than-perfect teeth to start, old crowns put in place over the years by a variety of dentists at a variety of locations where I have lived, earlier undetected decay, the need for the occasional root canal that we all hate, and so forth. After my approximately, rather-focused, two year search and screening, very early in December 2010, I selected Dr. Yahav as my dentist to perform my dental work.
The past two months have required an unusually large number of appointments and time in Dr. Yahav's dental chair required for my dental requests, which were needs (for pain-free proper chewing) and wants (for really nice but realistically looking appearance). Dr. Yahav has earned my patient-dentist relationship commitment for many years to come, based on a rather long list of considerations that I have experienced first-hand during my substantial dental treatment that he has been willing to arrange within the two-months of December 2010-January 2011. For example, Dr. Yahav (1) accommodated (worked with me for) the time required to achieve these goals of mine, (2) worked with both the total time required for my treatment along with my specific times available, (3) talked with me about my own individual financial considerations, concerns, and limitations, (4) did more than might be reasonably expected of a busy successful dentist concerning my ideals about the appearance of my teeth, and, (5) carefully dealt with my dental complexities that he encountered as we moved forward with treatment and explained accordingly before we proceeded.
