I am Mary Diangelis, RN, and I have worked as a nurse of Dr. Brandy's for more than 25 years. In order to meet the rating requirements, and to be fair to this forum, I have given Dr. Brandy a neutral rating. In response to the post regarding Dr. Brandy's board certification I wanted to share the following: \r

Dr. Brandy is always disheartened to learn that a patient is dissatisfied with the outcome of their surgery. Choosing to have cosmetic surgery is a big decision and when your personal expectations do not match the result, we understand that it can be disappointing. At The Skin Center when surgical outcomes do not meet patient expectations, we strive to maintain open communication to achieve patient satisfaction.\r

I do want to clarify that Dr. Brandy is board certified by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery (ABCS). A board certified cosmetic surgeon is certified exclusively in cosmetic surgery which focuses on enhancing a person's appearance through surgical and medical techniques. Cosmetic surgery is often only a small part of any of the residency training programs for many of the core specialties such as plastic surgery, dermatology, otolaryngology, gynecology, maxillofacial surgery and others. For this reason many of these doctors that have a special interest in cosmetic surgery often go on to become certified by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. \r
