The Wal-mart of bridal stores, without the friendly greeter.
I recently bought a bridesmaid dress at this David's Bridal. The staff is way overworked and didn't give me the time of day. When someone finally talked to me and found me a sample dress of the one my bride wanted me to wear they handed it to me, put me in a room, and I never saw them again. I figured the dress fit okay in the size they gave me and decided to just order it and get out of there.
When the time came to pick up the dress the clerks were, once again, way too busy for me. They found the dress and handed it to me, didn't even ask me if I wanted to try it on! I didn't put up a fight, but I should have.
The dress did not fit me well at all. The top was really too big and the bottom part around my legs just...weird. The dress ripped when I picked something up for the bride. Another 'maid had to keep asking me to pin the top of her dress back together during the wedding reception because the button at the top of the zipper tore off.
All this, plus I paid $150 for a dress then later saw one just like it at Target for $30. David's Bridal is a rip off and everyone knows it, but they could at least try to have good service.
