I understand different people have different experiences but I have to question some of the extreme examples. I moved here a year ago and the grounds/landscaping are very nice. There have been a number of personnel changes in the office including management but everyone has always been nice. I reported my outside latch to the patio being broken and it was fixed within 1 1/2 hours. My heating element went out in my dryer, my front door lock was acting up, and I had a couple of other minor issues that were called in from work that morning and all were fixed by the time I got home. To those talking about roaches let me fill you in on something. Those are not big roaches, they are water bugs and they get busy especially after a big rain. The problem you are having with them getting in your apartment is poor weather-stripping around the doors and they can fix that with no problem. I had a couple get in my apt and got the problem fixed. The couple I founf were dead or almost dead proving to me the pest control works. For the record I am moving but only because I want to move inside the loop. This is my first time in Houston and decided that's the area I want. I gave them the required 60 day advanced notice and they said they were sorry to see me go and have still remained friendly and the asst mgr sat me down wondering why I was leaving and if there were any problems. She also asked if I was happy during my stay. Doesn't that sound professional and courteous? For the record, I told them 4 months ago that I was looking and why and still nice and courteous. I have NEVER seen a cop inside the apartments for any reason. I suppose all the bad stuff must happen when I am gone. The only cop I ever see is the one who writes tickets to the cars cutting through the business office during school zone times. This place is pretty quiet. I am also right by the pool and the noise coming from there are from the kids which is to be expected at times and it's never at night. I felt the need to write this because while I was looking at apts inside the loop I found that there is not one complex in Houston that doesn't have terrible reviews so I feel you have to take the negative reviews with a grain of salt and scout out the areas. If you're planning on moving here drive by at night, on the weekends, etc... so you can get a better feel about the complex and the area. By the way, this is a very nice area....lots of traffic at times but very nice. You'll see this same review on other sites as well. SS
