I got a set of 4 tires at Dana Tire. The mechanic also wanted to do a front end alignment. He road-tested my Toyota Corrolla, came back and said I needed to replace the front right shock. He had it up on the rack before I saw him come back, and then tells me to look at the shock. I saw what appeared to be an oil leak. Closer inspection showed that the oil was new -- no possibility it could have leaked from a 5-year old shock. I asked him for an estimate -- $2100!!!! I said I'd get back to them, and instead went to two other shops. They both agreed that nothing was wrong with the shock. These guys a rip-off -- straight and simple.
