Did I get ripped off? Yes, I believe I did 4/5/2011

I dropped my car off at RJ Wheels to diagnosis the ABS and check engine lights. I paid them $45 to read the codes. I picked up the cards and RJ told me 2 ignition coils were corroded, front brakes were totalled, my front left wheel hub was bad and the EGR valve was bad. I took this $45 worth of knowledge and repaired the car myself. I still have both ABS and CEL light on. Plus, the brakes were fine, thick pads and rotors were fine. The ignitions coils had no visible corrosion. I called RJ Wheels and they proceeded to tell me that there could be others codes that popped up after my fix. This is a line of @#$%, I feel they didn't check anything or didn't know how to read a code scanner. I am thinking the former more than the latter. i will be registering a complaint with the BBB. I would avoid this shop as I feel they make bogus claims and will say a more expensive part needs to be replaced when really a cheaper part is the problem. more
