We have taken several vehicles to this Car X location. Most of the time the work needing to be done was questionable, but because we didn't know any better, we went ahead. The last time, Feb 2011, I took our van because it was making a strange noise in the front end. After paying for a $95 diagnostic I was given a quote to repair the transmission. Taking it apart, repairing the problem and putting it back together: $2400, possibly more if there was anything unforeseen. I took it away for another opinion; that mechanic diagnosed it as soon as he heard it (no fee) to be bearings. Total: less than $600. It has been running great for the last 2 months. Car X will never see another of our vehicles.
