Being through other programs with no lasting results, I found myself at home high and alone. My thoughts were of checking out to relieve myself of my problems, loneliness and shame. Looking for help I got out the phone book and started calling. After several calls with uncaring responses, I saw an ad for Aminokit. I called and spoke with the director. She was willing to see me right away. When I arrived everyone was friendly and caring. Just what I needed. They showed me how addiction works in the brain, told me about the treatment and what it could do for me. When I left it was the best I had felt in as long as I could remember. I hadn't even had a treatment yet. I was comfortable. I had found a safe place! Since completing this program I have gained the skills and tools to overcome my substance abuse. I have gained the confidence and ability to again be successful.
