Twice, Quail Corners put my dog's health at risk. 3/28/2011

Twice, Quail corners put my dog's health at risk. The first time was nearly fatal. They misdiagnosed him as having congestive heart failure, when in fact he has pulmonary hypertension. Their oxygen cages have no seals, which means oxygen levels inside cannot be accurately measured, and much of it is likely going to waste and out of your pocket. When he was obviously close to death, they called me at work to tell me to either come euthanize him or take him to NC State. I paid Quail Corners $1100 for that nonsense, and NC State (ALSO OPEN 24 HOURS) salvaged his life. That was 6 months ago. Because my dog has chronic bronchiectasis, he occasionally needs a tract of antibiotics, and its by no means uncommon or weird, very standard stuff. Tonight, I needed that routine antibiotic prescription for my dog filled after hours. NC State wrote the prescription, but couldn't fill it out because their pharmacy is closed at this time. I drove to Quail Corners knowing they were open 24 hours. Although they had the drug I needed in stock, and the prescription written only hours prior was valid, and the doctor at NC State was available by phone, and I stressed how my dog's immediate condition can worsen quickly, Quail Corners refused to fill the antibiotic and turned me away. They said they had a substitute doctor in that night, (who incidentally refused to show her face), and that they would not accept the liability, even though I told them I would gladly waive any/all liability if they would kindly fill out the prescription. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. NEVERMORE. more
