I represent the Board of Directors for Dani's building, which is a co-op. Dani did not mention that she is a subtenant (sublet) in our building and problems are to be resolved by her landlord, who is the shareholder. The building's management is not authorized to make repairs to problems that are outside the walls of the apartment. In Dani's case, the toilet ultimately needed to be replaced.
The building super still spent 6 hours on a Saturday attempting to resolve the problem by snaking the line, etc. Just Mgt and the Board made numerous attempts reaching out to the shareholder to get authorization as an outside plumber was required.
Just Mgt is a very hands-on building management company which more than earns its fee.
