I've been to two other vets in the Pittsburgh area besides Castle Shannon and I must say they are very accommodating, knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. In addition, they are open seven days per week and, in addition, are willing to handle emergencies.\r

As far as their waiting room goes, it's spacious and clean - not cramped and smelly as is the case in other vets offices. \r

For those kvetching about the staff being rude and the bad reviews, I have no idea what you're referring to. I witnessed the staff assist a woman who walked in off the street and had several questions about her cat who'd never been there before, and they weren't at all rude - however they were extremely busy. They don't fawn or genuflect, which as far as I'm concerned was a relief - I'd rather have someone on staff who is polite and efficient. They impressed me as a staff performing multiple tasks with efficiency and expertise.\r

I brought my cat in for x-rays on the recommendation of my vet. The
