Nick mis-diagnoses his own shoddy truss & decking work 2/24/2011

Our late '80s ranch home has had a few odd 'bumps' showing through the shingles on one exposure ever since we moved in. When working in the attic an insulation guy & I saw that tarpaper was beginning to show though stressed decking. I called Nick Peth's office 3X to ask if he would come out and give an opinion. Finally he did, but (apparently) didn't have the nerve to ring our doorbell. He told his office person to tell me ""there are 2 layers of shingles on the roof and that's the problem"". Yes, this is true. But that isn't the problem, Nick. The ""bump"" issue was and still is caused by small sections of end- trusses being set ON TOP OF roof decking! Nick, you may be pretty good at building homes, but as far as follow-up service is concerned you leave a lot to be desired. more
