We'd been wanting to try it after getting back recently from a trip out of the country. We cannot stand corporate restaurants. It seems like America has strapped on a feed bag and is happy to be coraled through their meal experiences these days. We really want to patronize and support our GOOD local small restaurants in and around Coral Springs and have adventures together while finding them....................will appreciate any suggestions!\r \r So as the previous reviewer stated - I will now CRAVE their food. The owner is so awesome - he loves his ingredients, he loves to cook and come up with new things and ways to make ingredients work. You can just see his passion - he cares what comes out of that window EVERY time which is VERY rare in my opinion these days. I think his name was Elan (aplogies if I spelled that wrong). \r \r My boyfriend had the falafel sandwich - he lived in Manhattan, has been to the middle east and said "It's as good as any falafel I've ever had" - it was fresh and delicious.\r \r I had the ground Angus steak and rice and with it came the best hummus I've ever had along with an Israeli salad and pita that was like a lovely little pillow. The Pitas - oh the Pitas! Yum. The Angus steak was just simply that - a patty with seasonings and you could just taste how fresh it was. I know I keep going on but I just didn't think restaurants like this were still surviving. This place should be packed every night of the week.\r \r I've seen people mention it's a little pricey for lunch - let me ask you - would you rather pay $8 and shove McDonalds in your face or spend $15 and enjoy fresh ingredients purchased from a man who loves to make your food and has passion about it? \r \r The owner brought us over a little sampling of soups he'd made that day - FRESH - and they kicked ass - split pea, chicken vegetable and a mushroom beef barley. He makes fresh soups every single day! You can search Facebook for Falafel Bistro and get added on - he posts every day what soups he makes - how cool is that?\r \r For desert we had the Nutella crepes - Now let me tell you I don't get excited about Nutella or crepes really - It was the way he described those flakey, hot lovely little crepes made me say "what the heck" - let me just tell you it WAS one of the single best dessert moments of my life - in this little cute wine bistro nestled in Coral Springs. The crepe was hot, flaky like no crepe I've ever tasted and it magically transformed the way the Nutella blended together. Served with a little side of ice cream. Heavenly! I mean seriously you must try it once.\r \r We have found our new spot for sure - in the evening it's a nice little trendy wine bar with dim lighting and the owner played great music - he sat with us and discussed his love for food and it was just such a great experience.\r \r Anyone who walks out of that place unsatisfied or unhappy is just not a person who can be pleased or who enjoys good food & an owner who genuinely cares about his guests.\r \r Falafel Bistro - We LOVE you - this is our new "place"! more
