I had heard positive things about Joey B's, so I took my mother there for dinner. Put simply, the restaurant does not live up to its reputation. The service was poor: there was a very long delay after we were seated until we were even acknowledged, we were never offered drinks or beverages throughout our meal, and interaction with our server was slow and perfunctory at best. The food was mediocre and very salty. Worst, however, was the unbearable din - with 15 of the approximately 24 tables occupied, the noise level was so high that conversation was impossible and communication required leaning across the table and nearly shouting.
