Subpar service 2/5/2011

I think everyone on this review listing will agree that getting through their phone lines is near impossible, which is completely unacceptable for two main reasons. Firstly, they are difficult to find using a GPS! and Secondly, they were not busy AT ALL when I arrived. There were two girls with me in the waiting room, and about five or more people behind the counters ""working""! You cannot hear the phone ringing at all, but you know that it is. The nurse was warm toward me, and even though I was 10 minutes late (because they wouldn't answer their phone so I could figure where the place was sooner), they still saw me. Overall, all I needed was birth control. I'm from a different state, and all I needed to do at my last clinic was walk-in, wait for a max of 30 mins, get examined quickly, and walk out with 3 MONTHS of birth control for free. With this place, let's see. I got frustrated because they would never answer their phone (when I needed to change my appointment to a different day), received a pep talk about how my boyfriend needed to be more responsible about using condoms because ""pulling out"" isn't a method (uhm, no duh, that's why he's here paying a hundred bucks for one month of birth control! it was insulting). The obygyn was biased obviously with her pro-life postings everywhere in her office and they encouraged me to come in for a testing later on to see if I was pregnant, but why in the hell would I pay 50 or so dollars when I could just get a period? I think her pro-life stance would affect my choice of going back if ever I were pregnant. Not only that, but the pep-talk about being responsible was in no way called for. We were paying for this service and we both have jobs and pay rent! Really was an unsatisfactory experience across the board, save the one brief encounter I had with a kind nurse. more
