First, with regards to any authenticity like the rich and particular one as PERUVIAN FOOD, it is not an easy labor to seek and accomplish why? Because with all and many of the experiences I have had and seen with PERUVIAN COOKING around the world, only a few are well-gifted and dominant in its AUTHENTICITY like the one in LIMA'S TASTE. This restaurant is clearly a hidden astonishment. Every dish that will define Peruvian food is at its best in this menu, every ceviche especially the Mixto really gave me another reason why I should come to the city more often. Without any exaggeration, it was a feeling that one does not easily get in this city, particularly due to the multitude of restaurants to choose from. This restaurant called Lima?s taste is one of the admirable ones in NYC>But without excluding all of the boroughs in NYC, Manhattan is likely to get highly credited for bringing in this phenomenal restaurant located on the lower west side of town. I have been around many places and have even traveled across continents to know how to enjoy good food, and as I said only a few in the world are gifted to touch the human?s palette and Lima?s taste falls right in. My entire family and I were left with so much stimulation after trying a few of the ceviches at this restaurant. From the mixto cooked in the perfect spice and citrus that gave it a true rich taste to the caliente ceviche that was sought of saut?ed in the Peruvian peppers they used had also been cooked with a touch of citrus giving its sauce an awesome flavor. But the most striking dish was the cow heart anticucho which was some skewered dish that we thought was a daring choice but ?what a seasoning touch? it had, I never tasted anything like it, or at least not here in N Y. Although, I have tried Peruvian food in Lima and even other places in the world including in NY, this food palace called Lima?s taste out performs any other Peruvian authentic taste. Even still, the main courses were out of control with the Lomo Saltado and the aji de pollo as well as the Pork RIBS all seasoned in Peruvian peppers and with a perfect touch of spice seasoning. Also, please if you are going to eat here you must try the Peruvian green hot sauce that is used as a dipper to any food in the menu; it is a f?.cking great sauce that flavors anything you put in your mouth. My family was left wondering whether we should move into the city and make it convenient to come to this place rather than coming from another borough. Overall, this place is the best traditional and cultural place to engage in and feel humanistic again... The service had been to some extent descent but from what I noticed everything seemed to have worked out attentively and courteously. The drinks to try will be from their traditional ones like pisco sour and Peruvian mojito as well as good Peruvian beers, all of them were nicely put before and during the meal. Make sure to take friends over and to show them something they would not know about (True Food). more
