My son studied clarinet and sax with Peter Spitzer at Hope Street studios for about 6 years. He learned a lot, ended up playing sax in a professional band while in high school and earned a couple thousand dollars gigging by the time he graduated. I've met several of the other teachers at Hope Street, heard some of them playing at gigs and they are all competent and friendly. They have teachers for trumpet, trombone, piano, guitar, bass and drums - maybe more. The studio itself is very clean and pleasant with separate, sound proofed teaching rooms and a comfortable waiting room.
