New Years eve dinner started off fine... With a 7:00p reservation we were seated immediately which was much appreciated. Within 5 minutes our drink order was taken and from there it went from, frustrating, to just comical, to annoyed and then ""what is it going to take to get me out of here"".
When making reservations a week prior, we were looking at Angus Barn, Sullivans, among others, but wanted to be downtown so went with Solas and there $55 per person dinner. It's probably just easier to bullet point the experience:
-Took 45 minutes to get the 1st drink after ordering (this was the only drink we were able to get)
-3 different servers brought us the wrong appetizer/main course 4 different times. Each time it took over 20 minutes to get the right order. So by 9:00p we were eating our main course.
-At this point I didn't even mention I was eating my filet with a butter knife because I knew it would take ANOTHER 20 minutes to get a steak knife.
-Server bumped into our table and spilled drinks everywhere, required taking everything off and redoing the table cloth.
-Every server came out ""auctioning"" food off
-At 9:30p I asked for the manager to just bring us our check and desserts in a to go box. Another 20 minutes later we finally received the check and our desserts.
-We did receive 50% off for the meal, but honestly even paying $100 for this meal seemed ridiculous.
It was embarrassing to see a restaurant so out of its element to handle a new years eve dinner. Our table and the ones around us couldn't help but just laugh at how bad it had gotten, like out of a comedy movie, I mean at that point what else can you do.
Will never ever return here, worst service I have EVER received, would have done better going to Applebee's.
