Based on my own customer experience, that of my elderly mother (a customer for more than 50 years) and my daughter's experience, I would urge anyone reading this review to have NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS COMPANY. Once upon a time Hoffman was a decently run, local company. But something (I suspect a corporate acquisition) changed dramatically. Over the past several years this company has proven to be a major disappointment on many fronts: dreadful and over-priced service, dishonorable dealings with customers, finding loopholes so they can wheedle out of their obligations to customers, rude and surly customer service representatives. If you do heat with oil, PLEASE don't make the mistake of signing up with Hoffman. They are a dreadful outfit.
