I kept asking myself this after my mother had her second fall, or should we have admitted her to a nursing home? But she wouldn?t think of leaving her own home. Fortunately the damage was slight, but what if she fell again when she was alone. Then the family made a decision which mother didn?t agree with. I called Visiting Angels of San Jose, an elders care agency, and they were so nice about it. They sent across three care givers to meet mother. She took to Melanie immediately. They?re two of a kind. Melanie keeps the house spick and span, and cooks, just the way mother likes it. She helps her with her bath as well and makes sure mother takes her medication on time. We?re so relieved ever since we started home care services. And mother is happy too with our decision.
