We've lived in our home for 22 years and this is the 3rd roof that I have had installed, and I am hoping the last. The first roof was when we moved in and the carpenters did the roof. That lasted about 10 years. Then in 1999 we had another roof installed over the first layer and that only lasted 12 years. This time I had Able do it and they told me that my roof was not ventilated properly and that is why my roofs in the past did not hold up well. They added vents and installed a better shingle than previous years. So far so good.
