Feel super lucky to live near Evergreen as it's such a family friendly and progressive birthing institution. Was initially super happy to have a midwives clinic for my upcoming birth.
Now not excited that 3 of the 5 midwives are leaving because 'they are not productive enough' and were expected to take a cut in pay relative to this. Money grubbing healthcare pisses me off. Yes, midwives have a window of 15-30 mins with a patient instead of the ""productive"" 10 minutes, but that's why I picked this office!!!! I'm so glad Michelle and Shana stayed but am worried about my delivery now and will most likely not have the birth experience I planned for. I'm NOT impressed by the clinic's choice to cut pay based on a comparison with regular healthcare. Patients who go to midwives go for the reason that it's not a regular doctor. If it was only one midwife leaving I'd say it was the other way around, but it's more than half the staff, so that's a management problem if you ask me.
Overall the clinic has been great otherwise. Too bad that Evergreen doesn't own the clinic. Please fix this!!
