I had always been curious about this place. Stopped by yesterday for dinner and drinks and ordered the jambalaya with shrimp. It was very good and very filling. So glad I did not order appetizers. The Abita Amber beer was light and a perfect companion to the dish.
I love the decor and the attention to detail that went into making this restaurant as cozy as it feels. It's great for conversation. The music is not too loud, unlike some other places in Astoria...a nice change.
I do have to say the entree was a bit costly $13 + $3 to add shrimp and no side dish but it tasted very good and there was no need for dessert after.
Overall a very nice experience.
