I was told by another Service station that I needed a ball joint replacement. That technician showed me it was loose with a 4 foot pry-bar.
Being skeptical, I brought the car in to the one place I figured I could trust. Chad at Rosedale Chev immediately took a look and found that I was being lied to. Chad explained that he could pretty much move anything with a 4 foot pry-bar.
He also brought me through everything he found when doing a thorough check of my vehicle. He explained each issue to the point where I had a very clear understanding of what was wrong (or technically not very wrong but in a year or so I might need to bring it in).
The best part is that the only pressing issue was that my brake pads were worn down to nothing. I can do brakes, so I told him and he understood and didn't press me.
If you are looking for an honest mechanic that won't try to trick you then I would suggest Rosedale Chev.
