Been there a few times now and have had consistant experiences. Food is well prepared served hot by waitstaff that knows what they are doing. The corn seems to be the standout signature item. I could begin to tell you how it was made but it is AMAZING and is priced at $3-4. Patio outside where the kids can be kids (within reason) with bar/restaurant inside. The little ones like the freshly made chicken fingers or mini cheeseburgers.
I don't know how ""traditionally Cuban"" the faire is but then again I don't care. I've eaten a restaurant called ""The Hat"" that didn't serve headwear and ""The Boat"" that wasn't seafood.
I would recomend Cafe Haban as a much better alternitive to Marmalade or Coogies when in Malibu.
