When I first saw Dr. Mahootchi, my eyesight was very poor. I could not read normal print without my glasses and a magnifying glass and I was converting my computer files to 24 point type to be able to read them. I couldn’t see well enough to drive. I had been a competitive clay shooter but could no longer see the targets clearly. Dr. Mahootchi found that I had several problems – some, but not all, the result of diabetes issues. Over a period of time, I had several procedures such as laser, cataract surgery and corneal debridement. Dr. Mahootchi and his staff explained each process to me and were very supportive so that any anxiety I initially felt disappeared as my confidence in the team grew. They were professional and supportive. Now, my eyes are better than they have been in years. I have resumed all activities and once again wearing contact lenses. I am clay shooting again and hitting targets. I even have better control of my diabetes thanks to the concern and support of Dr. Mahootchi. I strongly recommend that anyone needing vision care make an appointment at the Eye Clinic of Florida.
