I had my first experience with Goodyear in Monroeville recently. I needed tires and found a really good deal here, so I went through with it.
When I went to pick up my truck, they told me that my rear brakes were almost shot and would absolutely need replaced within 6000 miles. This was not true. My rear brakes were nearly new as I had just checked them. The rotors were well within tolerance and the brake pads had less than 25% wear. Goodyear would have been more than happy to charge me the $200 to replace them though.
Also, they did not torque my lug nuts appropriately. Many were over-torqued. I could not get the majority off with a 1/2 inch drive impact wrench and broke a 17"" Armstrong breaker bar trying to get one off. Not only would this have been inconvenient had I had a flat tire, but this could also warp my rotors. This is probably where the ""Your back brakes will need replaced soon."" comes in.
I went back to discuss with the store manager, and he refused to acknowledge that they did anything wrong.
