Had the opportunity to try this restaurant due to Restaurant dot com's gift certificate program. We drove around a bit before seeing the very small sign for the Orchid Grill below the Sheraton Ontario's signage. We got there about 6:30pm on a Friday and were the only customers the entire time of our stay.
The atmosphere was quite nice. Linen napkins and comfortable chairs complimented the proper lighting and full bar. Service was very good and our waitress was very friendly.
We had looked at the menu on-line prior to visiting, unfortunately the menu has changed and the entrees we were looking forward to trying were no longer available. Since we had just dined on steak the night before, we struggled to find a desirable replacement with the limited dinner menu options.
We ended up with a burger and the cod fish basket along with the fried calamari appetizer. Unfortunately the taste seemed no better than what we would find at some of the large and less expensive chain family restaurants. My wife made the comment that the burger tasted like fast food quality meat.
Would we ever go back? Only if I heard of a menu and flavor improvement.
